I bought 2 brand new (to us) types of vegetable from Bailey's Local Foods recently and today we tried them both. The first was kohlrabi (German for turnip cabbage). I fried it with sugar and nutmeg. We both really liked it. The second was rapini, the leafy Italian broccoli. I just steamed that and neither of us liked it all that much. I served them with honey baked lentils (http://happyfoody.blogspot.com/2006/10/honey-baked-lentils.html) and roast potatoes. The potatoes were our first taste of local organic potatoes from Bailey's. They were really really good.
