The three of us headed out for some visiting in and around Toronto this weekend. We all had a great time: some restaurant meals, some nice walks, and Henry really progressed in his walking. He seems to be stimulated to do new things when he is in new environments. At his Auntie's and then at his Nana's, he was in love with standing on his own. Would do it again and again with a big smile on his face. And then by the end of the weekend he was taking 5 or 6 steps at a time too! He is sleeping now, can't wait to see if he continues this morning. We also took lots of pictures this weekend, here are some of our highlights.
At an ethiopian restaurant, Henry chose to eat nothing but rice cakes. And he did very well just being strapped to a regular chair until he decided he just had to stand up and we had to move him to the stroller with the more serious straps.
More rice cakes (he does eat other things but rice cakes seem to work wonders for shutting him up when we're out). This time he shares with the puppy.
Standing on his own!
Standing on his own while we read a story and he straddles the puppy. What a picture!
Enjoying one of our walks, it was quite warm this weekend. Nothing like a cold snowy winter to make you appreciate 2 degrees celcius.
And now I have to get unpacked and back on track. This weekend I got try out my new everything tote that I sewed from Heather Ross' Weekend Sewing. It's the second one I've made, the first was a gift. It turned out to be just perfect for throwing in clothes for one day including my bulky fleece PJs and throwing into the car.
